Project Geologist - Perth based - Full-time

Liberty Resources Ltd (“Liberty”) is seeking a Project Geologist to initially work on our Queensland projects. You will be required to travel to Queensland and around Western Australia as the role dictates. Some overseas travel may also be necessary.
Liberty is at the fore front of an emerging industry set to revolutionise the way we use coal to produce cleaner energy. We are a junior exploration company with assets in Australia and are currently expanding overseas.
Reporting to the General Manager Geology, your role will be wide ranging and offer a significant amount of autonomy.
Applicants require:
• Appropriate tertiary qualification in Geology
• Minimum of 4 years exploration experience
• Knowledge of Micromine or MapInfo
• Highly regarded work ethic and the ability to self-manage
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong research ability and time management skills
• Experience in exploration methods and programme management
• Experience in data management and analysis
• Excellent evaluation skills
• Coal experience is preferable but not essential
Key responsibilities include:
• Planning, implementation and management of exploration programmes.
• Initially identify and prioritise areas of interest based on historical data compilations.
• Complete technical review and maintenance of coal databases.
• Geotechnical data collation and interpretation.
• Data presentation and modelling.
• Supervision and management of consultants.
